Friday Update for 19 August, 2011

Local SEA Information (SEAoO):

  • SEAoO will soon be sending out information via Twitter.  This will be an additional service so don't worry that we are doing away with the other means we use to get information to you.  If you are not too familiar with Twitter, please check out this brief OUTLINE put together by SEAoO's Tim Gilbert.
  • MEMBERS - Please take time to update your member profile including selecting a region (or regions) that you would like to belong to.  We are starting to send out some communications by email to certain regions only.  For example, we might send an email out to the Cleveland region if they have an upcoming meeting there.  That email only goes to those that have selected that region so that we don't clog up other member's email with communications they aren't interested in.  There is no additional cost for selecting regions and you can belong to as many as you like.  That way the members located on the border of two can easily get both.  The region or regions you select only affect the email you recieve.
  • Many of you have already signed up for this year's conference.  For everyone else, don't wait too long; the early bird discount ends in just two weeks!  Click HERE for more about he conference.
  • Elections will be coming up shortly and we are accepting nominations for President-Elect, Secretary, and two Directors.  Email us at [email protected] if you'd like more information or have questions.
  • Friday Updates are published as "articles" on the website and can be accessed at the bottom left corner of our home page.

National SEA Information (NCSEA):

  • Nothing new to report.
