Structural Assessment Through Materials Engineering  (1.0 PDH)

Rehabilitating structures with little to no drawings or specifications can be a headache. Using the latest technology, materials engineering can shed light on the most problematic of structures. Predicting service life of structures, determining specific quantities of repair, and identifying potential causes of deterioration are all key parts of the materials engineering playbook. In this presentation, you will learn how corrosion testing, petrography, ground penetrating radar (GPR), and, yes, even drones can be used to provide a comprehensive assessment of any type of structure.
